Outside School Hours Care Philosophy
Peace Lutheran College Outside School Hours Care aims to provide a rich learning environment that supports your child’s sense of agency. Allowing them to grow and achieve their maximum potential as an individual. We as a service develop an engaging program using the National Quality Framework, 'My Time, Our Place'.
The program is designed to encourage their ability to play freely, investigate, find adventure and be challenged. Self-reflection and continuous improvement is what enables our service to grow and flourish.
Our staff are a committed team that recognise the importance of school-age development and strive to develop professional interactions and relationships with children and families.
We, as a service, promote and support healthy, active lifestyle choices for children and families.
Our staff encourage children to explore the world around them, build relationships with others and support the development of skills and self-esteem through play.
Peace Lutheran College OSHC also acknowledges the traditional owners of our land, the Yirrganydji and Tjapukai people. We pay our respects and encourage all educators and children to discover, engage and implement our land's history. We promote not only cultural diversity and inclusive environments but also enable children to respect and learn about a range of cultural backgrounds.
This Philosophy was developed by staff in 2020 and is reviewed annually by current staff and parents.
